Location

The Bear Inn is located in Bridgnorth, Shropshire just off the High Street in High Town. It can be found just through the Northgate arch (Northgate Museum) if you are in the shopping centre, and you will find us on the left hand side just after the Olde Sweet Shop. We can be easily identified by the beautiful hanging sign of a Bear.

The Bear Inn is just 1 minute away from the Town Centre and there is a bus stop right outside our door, ideal for getting around the historic town. The Bridgnorth Cliff Railway (the oldest and steepest inland electric cliff railway in the country) is the ideal way to get up and down the 111 ft sandstone cliff between High Town, with its interesting shops, gardens and historic castle grounds, and Low Town with the riverside quay.

The Severn Valley Railway operates steam-hauled passenger trains between Bridgnorth, Bewdley and Kidderminster, a journey of about 16 miles and a unique and enjoyable way of seeing the local area, or for those travelling by car there are good road links to Telford, Wolverhampton and Kidderminster.
